Refinished gun...does it need to be re-registered?

For those living in MA, if I decided to re-finish a gun and change the color, would I need to fill out an FA10 an re-register it? This may be a stupid question but in MA nothing makes sense.

Since we don't have registration, I would say no. It was black when you bought it. If it is silver when you sell it then fine. The FA-10 reflects what it is when you transfer it.

No, change up a gun any way you want (within legal limits, of course). As long as the serial number doesn't change, no need for a new FA-10.

Agree with the other folks. MA registers transfers. Changing the color isn't a transfer (purchase, sale, find, lose).
