Red dot on an SKS

thinking about throwing one of those 2-3 MOA pistol sized micro red dots on my SKS rear leaf sight. Eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be. Anyone ever try one of these 'badace' mounts on your SKS? Verdict?

When I bought my sks it had a bubba like this one

It looked pretty gay so I took it off after my first range trip but during that range day 2 people shooting nearby commented that they never found an aftermarket mount that could hold zero on their sks.
This is all anecdotal but the advice was coming from people who had a good amount of experience with aftermarket mounts on surplus rifles

Yeah anything that mounted to the rear cover is super gay true. This one mounts on the rear leaf and you wouldn't need to remove it and rezero every time you cleaned the rifle.

I had one on a Yugo I sold years ago. It worked fine.

I have a similar mount on my SKS and it works great. I bought it 10 years ago and I don't recall the manufacturer, but it replaced the rear sight.
