How do you know if something that's never been done before, is OK? You try it.

If you do something like ban vaping by fiat, is it Constitutional? Gotta try. And, since the challenge(s) will be at the expense of the challengers, and at no financial (or other) risk to the ones that institute the action....there is no down side.

There is absolutely nothing stopping them from declaring a crisis and shutting down Anything. And then commissioning a “study” that could last years.

like, maybe ammo?
“could the gases emitted by ammunition be or contain carcinogens? Dunno, let’s shut it down and do a multi year study!”

Unfortunately, all of the liberal Communist states work from the same playbook. In fact, I'd wager that they meet often to come up with new ideas. Hence we are seeing radical leftist Attorneys General, which has spread down to local DAs. Hence Rachel Rollins dropping charges against people of color and other fellow travelers. That's also why a radical Leftist ran for Secretary of State against Bill Galvin. Put a radical Leftist in that office and we might as well stop voting since they'll just hijack the elections.

Ahh, Massachusetts, both the beginning and the end of freedom.

This is the monumental issue that most mouth breathers don't get when it comes to an all powerful government.

I'm not a Rachel Rollins fan, but that's blatantly false...

but hey, don't let me p*ss in your fruit loops.

Her policy is to not prosecute a boatload of crimes because they impact minorities disproportionately... so explain how that's not the point the poster was making?

The same BS/petty crimes are NOT prosecuted when they are committed by ANYONE regardless of race or gender.

but hey, “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”, to the ignoramus.

Except.... shes 100% clear that it's based on race.

Cool story about the trickle down racenomics tho.

the door is open: Rachel Rollins' list of charges that will no longer be prosecuted. Anyone see a problem with these? Some admittedly are generally minor, however, when escalated they are certainly an issue, further if these are no longer prosecuted what's the next step down the line? (we can be like england and simply let people invade your home, try to stop them and you'll be hauled off to jail for protecting your home and family. of course if they are no longer prosecuted, the crime rate will go down, the incidence may not decrease but the rate will decrease due to under-reporting. )
  • Trespassing
  • Shoplifting (including offenses that are essentially shoplifting but charged as larceny)
  • Larceny under $250
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Disturbing the peace
  • Receiving stolen property
  • Minor driving offenses, including operating with a suspend or revoked license
  • Breaking and entering — where it is into a vacant property or where it is for the purpose of sleeping or seeking refuge from the cold and there is no actual damage to property
  • Wanton or malicious destruction of property
  • Threats – excluding domestic violence
  • Minor in possession of alcohol
  • Drug possession
  • Drug possession with intent to distribute
  • A stand alone resisting arrest charge, i.e. cases where a person is charged with resisting arrest and that is the only charge
  • A resisting arrest charge combined with only charges that all fall under the list of charges to decline to prosecute, e.g. resisting arrest charge combined only with a trespassing charge

They shut the roads down due to snow and half of NES supports it. So it's not like a lot of the insane shit the state pulls doesnt have conservative backing. I suspect the majority of conservatives in MA have no problem with the vape ban due to it being an item that very few conservatives use.
