Quaboag SportsmensClub is hosting its 48th Annual Field Day
and Shooting Sports Exposition on theclub grounds at 451 Dunham Road, off
Route 19 in Warren on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.The public is invited to attend thiscelebration of the shooting sports, with
free admission and free parking.Youngsters under 17 years of age are
able to compete in the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s Junior USA
Shooting Team program to win shoulder patches. The program consists of target shooting with BB rifles, air rifles or .22
rifles, or a round of skeet or trap, all under close supervision of qualified
adults. On-site parental approval is
required. Also available for youngsters is an archery program.
Adults may compete for various prizes in several shooting disciplines, at
nominal fees. Bring your favorite hunting rifle or shotgun for the Running
Deer event, then try your luck at the Ham or Turkey shotgun shoot, or a
Smith & Wesson folding knife shoot.The Skeet and Trap ranges are operating
all day. You can play Pistol Poker using
.22 pistols and ammunition furnished by club members. Everyone is invited to
participate in the cash prize raffle or the raffle for valuable sports-related merchandise. Food and refreshments are available
at the pavilion; please note that no alcohol is allowed on club property. All visitors are requested to bring safety glasses and hearing protection. Anyone desiring additional information should contact Quaboag Sportsmen’s Club Director
