One year to go.

Congratulations Jack! You must have been one of those wizz kids when you were licensed. I've got 2 boys, one of which got his ticket when he was 11, but once the teen hormones kicked in he lost all interest. It's hard to get kids interested in the hobby with all the high-tech means of comminication and toys they have to play with these days.

Been active much in the last decade?

Wizz kid? I was licensed at age 30. Jack.

Jack, I have you by one year. I have been licensed since 1965 when I was 14 years old. I think the date of issue on my original Novice license is 5/17/65 but I'll have to check. I have also been an ARRL member for going on 50 years. I bought life membership in 1968 I think for around $170.

99% CW guy.
