this is what I am saying. You can try to stop every disturbed person but that’s not possible. Our society needs to treat the cause of the illness. Jordan Peterson has been saying this and the left has been attacking him for it. He’s not wrong I work with a lot of young men who have just given up on a family.

On the other paw, I have a friend, a widow, who retired at 53 and is now going through the decompression phase of returning to normal life after almost 30 years in law enforcement. She swapped coasts to begin her new life.

One of her chief complaints is that men are afraid to even be casually friendly, let alone give her the friendly hugs she needs as a form of stress relief.

Perception is reality. She's not trying to start a relationship with you, nor with anyone else. She's just trying to return to normal society with new friends, and is finding out that the old normal no longer exists.

While she's a few years younger than I, we went through pretty much the same training about what is appropriate in our specialized workplace, not realizing that it now applies to the world at large.

Camaraderie is prohibited. We got that for work, but now it's just as dangerous in private social life.

Peterson also tries to help young men by providing them with information on how to be a strong man who is valuable to society, which a lot of young men need because they either never had a good male role model in their life, or they’re constantly being berated by society just for existing. That goes against everything this generation of leftists despise, so they attack him for being a nazi and creating toxic males.

You see it everywhere in our culture. I remember a few years ago there was a Gillette ad put out about “toxic masculinity” and it was clearly created by someone who had no idea of how a good man would react to given situations.

Strong men made easy times. Easy times made weak men (that’s where we are now) and those weak men are about to make hard times.
