As much as I hate obama, this will happen regardless of who gets in office. Both candidates need to satisfy the public's outcry for gun conrol. So if romney gets in, this will still move forward, IMO

I keep hearing how the general public as a whole today have a more favorable view towards guns than they did decades ago. A lot of people believe that the tide is slowly shifting towards pro-2A. On the other hand, the politicians seem to be moving in the opposite direction.

This has nothing to do about gun control but it is a way to pay for bonus' and expenses without the need for budget increases.
