In before the NRA haters.
From what I hear the attendance is going to break a record again. I can't think of a better town to have the NRA convention in.
...and what's wrong with having it in Boston? All the liberals would seek shelter and shake in fear for three days.
They'd pass a bylaw in Boston prohibiting NRA to come to the city or prohibiting any signage.
I'm pretty sure that the city owns/controls 2 if not all 3 of the convention centers in Boston, so simply refusing to rent it to them would shut them out.
I'd prefer to see it in NH! And if they did that I'd probably attend.

My comment about holding the annual meeting in Boston was sarcastic, but I doubt that even Boston would refuse a convention generating $20 million or more as did the one in Charlotte, NC in 2010. Of course, after all the bribery, lockdowns, OT for LEOs, etc., I guess that figure might drop down to maybe only a few bucks.
To hold a convention of that size in Boston it would have to be at the convention center in the seaport which currently being looked at to be named for either former mayor Flynn or Menino. The irony of the NRA convention being held at the "Mayor Thomas Menino convention center" would probably cause Bloomberg to have a heart attack.
You don't understand the depth of the moonbattery of Boston. Yes they would probably turn it down. It would give them the opportunity however to arrest hundreds or thousands of people for various violations of the MA gun laws however.
If they had it in Boston, they'd have to call off school and lock down a 100 sq mile area because of g-g-g-g-guns!
Well, that would be a good thing after all.
