It's california so I won't get my hopes up for common sense.

In a less retarded world, I can see why F&G would need to do a quick investigation to make sure the "victim" isn't really a poacher. Once that's been determined, then all is ok.

And the threshold for self defense against animals should be laughably low, wild and domestic. This idea that animals are on par with humans really needs to be hammered out of people's heads.

Clearly you've never heard of the infamous Brookline murder turkeys waging a war on the liberal colonizers occupying their ancestral homeland.
