No Guns for Negroes

How about some rep for the Fine Lady!!!!!

SAS...? Second Amendment Sisters??? I know Kimmie works in Boston bringing a lot of new women shooters into our fold.

very well done.. Do you have an index of the sources for your statements? I know you mention them during the work, but I was hoping for a written list.. I need some follow-up education..
tnx

Thanks all for the kudos. Again, I was honored to be asked to participate in this video.

This was many, many months in the making and I did not have access to other areas of the production so I had no idea how the final video would be presented. I pretty much went on blind faith and trusting Aaron to not take my words out of context or present me as standing for something that I don't. I must have told Aaron 100 times, "I am NOT a militant - do not portray me as one, because that defeats my whole purpose!" The end result of my portion of the video comes from about 12 hours of filming. There are some things that I said that I wish had been included but all in all, I am happy with the video and the way I am presented.

For sources for some of the historical/statistical portions of the video, I would write to JPOF directly. As for me, most of my statements are based on personal experience. I'm sure the data supporting what I said exists. But I'm also sure it would be very difficult to obtain. My experiences are based on 10 years of being a firearm instructor in the inner city, with a very ethnically diverse student population, and seeing a distinct pattern emerge over the years based on feedback from my students and their experiences in applying for their license. And who is given a license, who is denied, and what type of license they receive. The rest of my experince comes from being Black, a woman and a life long resident in the inner city. Which is the reason for my goal, to introduce minority women to firearms, as the Boston Area Coord for the Second Amendment Sisters. We have to depend on ourselves.

I do know though, that the Deacons for Defense was a very well kept secret. When Aaron told me about them, I did some research and was amazed. There is actually a movie about them from several years ago, starring Forrest Whitaker, which is pretty good.

For another perspective on what our government has done to folks, PBS just did a great series on Native Americans - We shall remain. If that doesn't get your blood boiling, nothing will.

Thanks again.

Donna

Donna, as a Black Woman from the Inner City, with a rich background of experience, are you available for the Supreme Court??? [smile][wink]

Kimmie, I forwarded the videos to some Vietnam Veteran friends of mine. One sent it on to his brother. I sent it to non-shooters and shooters alike. This was one response I got from "Matt" This may be long, I hope it fits here.

Great videos. My interest was piqued by the mention of a Senator Dodd from CT who took the Nazi gun control law and modeled his 1964 legislation after it. One has to wonder what his underlying motivations were. Here are some interesting facts, pass them on:

A Little Gun History Lesson

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
---------------------------
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated..
----------------------------
Guatemala established gun control in 1964.. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated..
------------------------------
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and! exterminated.
-----------------------------
Defensele! ss people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
------------------------------

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their gu! ns!

It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The ! next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.

With Guns.............We Are 'Citizens'.
Without Them........We Are 'Subjects'.
-------------------------------------

During W.W. II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED !

Note: Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 & was Naval Attache to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend the country.

It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in! the U. S. & knew that almost all households had guns.
-----------------------

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms..disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one." - Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare Beccaria, Criminologist in 1764. That was 230 years ago.

The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

Depicts"

Depicts - this is all very important information and something we should be reminded of often. We should never forget. Or ignore. When we forget/ignore and become complacent, we become victims all over again. People who think that it 'can't happen here' are in a dream world. Because it has happened here. And, because history repeats itself, it can happen again.

Thank you.

Donna, there are far too many people with their heads in the sand about gun issues, and control issues. Many of us see the handwriting on the wall. It has been scribbled there slowly and steadily for years now.

I don't know what it will take to wake people up, especially the "antis". Like you, I try to keep introducing people to the sport, culture and history of shooting.

I'm reminded that the "Shot heard round the world" was fired by a citizen who was fed up. I wonder what will be the modern "Bridge in Lexington" that might spark peoples awareness of the aims of people who want to control, if not enslave us.
