NH Pistol Permit Application

I notice the application asks for three references. Any of you NH folks wanna vouch for me? I'll let you come visit "Freedom House" and drink my beer.

It doesn't have to be NH residents. All my references were from back in NJ. Not problem with my town at all.

I put my parents down as references and got my permit 7 real days later.

They never even called my references. Further, on the NH resident application, there wasn't even a space provided to write the references' phone #s. I cannot speak for the non-resident app however, because I've never looked at it.

When I got mine the chief just asked me for my finger prints and told me to come back in a week.

My references were called but that is probably because I am so close to the border. They don't have to be NH residents so you would probably be better off using people from MA that you have been shooting with a few times.

Yeah, I figured it matters little to them as long as you're not dressed like 50-Cent when you go apply for your permit. i justw anna make sure I have three names to put down when I fill out the form.

What state is this in? There is no fingerpring requirement in NH, and in fact, the law specifically disallows any extra requirements. Can we have more detail on this?

They asked me to fill out a form and took my thumb print. That was a couple of years ago when I owned a house in the lakes region.

It took about a week and I picked it up.
