Maybe better luck tomorrow?

More details after range time tomorrow, but the Governor did call.
I heard her say "I'll take that into consideration" 3x times as we went over the changes this law would make. Maybe it is time to find that cell phone number again... :)

PS. Almost 1700 NHFC petitions have been signed.
PPS. Thank you to all who donated. Thank you letters need to be sent out. One member did in fact donate a number of times to match others. :)

And now I am done. I have to stop matching some time and I'm there. Thanks to those that took me up and I hope others will continue to contribute whatever they can.

Just noticed this:

III. The availability of a license to carry a loaded pistol or revolver under this section or under any other provision of law shall not be construed to impose a prohibition on the unlicensed transport or carry of a firearm in a vehicle, or on or about one’s person, whether openly or concealed, loaded or unloaded, by a resident, nonresident, or alien if that individual is not otherwise prohibited by statute from possessing a firearm in the state of New Hampshire.

Firearm. Not handgun.

So if entered into law, a loaded AR-15 rifle could be transported in a motor vehicle in NH?

Right. So they're would be an obvious conflict there between the two statutes, should SB116 enter law.

No, no conflict, since "the availability of a license to carry a loaded pistol or revolver" doesn't have anything do with the prohibition of loaded long guns in/on a vehicle.

That is why you make an AR Pistol with a Sig Arm Brace. A P&R lets you keep that loaded in your car!

Malodave

That's what I thought. Made Friday, Saturday and Sunday don't count because of the holiday and weekend? So maybe Monday EOB is the last day?

Sunday is an excluded day. There is nothing about holidays being excluded.
If any bill shall not be returned by the governor within five days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a law in like manner as if he had signed it unless the legislature, by their adjournment, prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a law.

The legislature is in recess, but has not adjourned.

I have not seen a definitive answer to when the bill reached her desk. Assuming that the bill was on her desk Tuesday, she has until Saturday to act on the bill. The only way Monday comes into play is it it wasn't on her desk until Wednesday.

Keep up the pressure and for those of you that have online fax services or even real fax machines, here is another way to contact her office:

Day 3.5 and counting.
