NH ACTION: Public Hearing to Prohibit Carrying in Public Buildings (02/21/13)

Lobbyist for NEA another educator org. They are anti. Talking addressing violence in schools. Saying need more funding for counslors and gun control.

Do these people realize that each district would vote?
 
Next. Mother who is pro. States community should decide. Some schools cannot afford resource officer.
Wants her ex should be able to protect children.

States that she is a veteran and trained pro. States offensive to call her and others are untrained. Should be up to parents. Bill only gives option, not a mandate.

" guns not problem or solution." need to focus on mental illness. Train not how to use guns, but focus on detection of mental illness. Blames media for issues. Kids who see violence on tv, repeated reports they think new issue each time. She is against bill but seems neutral...
 
Former educator. This guy was subject to assasination plot by student. Kids had guns in their lockers, but peers turned them in. He wwould have been unarmed if they hadn't been caught. States having some armed staff would make kids think twice.

don't blame video games. Resource officers cost money. Seems to be against bill because they wouldn't provide to schools to be armed money wise. And forcing them to vote on it feels they already have option.

Is it the same chairwoman as the last hearing? She had no regards to her constituents and they pushed to have her removed as chairwoman? Why is she still there she doesn't care about anything but her own agenda.
 
Pro up now, states should not be only resource officers depending our kids. Let people decide....

Another pro . States everyone in school has target on them. This bill makes them have a chance. Gun free schools zones bad. "mass shootings almost always gin free."

Prisons are gun free as well we do not want children being treated as in prison. Again offense for calling people untrained.

Guy whose wife is a teacher. Only method they are trained in to protect kids is huddle in corner. His wife is trained. Wants locals to decide. End of hearing. Next up 451 constitutional carry!

Pro. Concealed weapon permit not needed because you can get a permit if you can legally purchase anyways.

Question to him on why reduce cost of nonresident. States reducing cost is going to increase revenue as they dropped when it was raised. Madame chair face , asked why since we are recognized in 22 states. He says people in mass are ticked off at price, and they are actually next to us.

Pro, we don't need permission to speak, or religion. Should not need for a right to arms.

Driving, teaching and others are not rights so they are not a comparable thing.

Wants a database to help identify 'suitable' people. No means to find info. Info protected by Hippa. More licenses granted then denied. Appeal process is in place.
 
Pro. Constitutional carry only offers another method for self defense. Out of state residents should have constitutional rights too. And it was increase without a hearing before, and that is not right. 100 dollar non res fee has to do with diminishing returns.

No mayhem in street with other states who have constitutional carry. Vallaincourt, again being himself. Asking why people don't take to court if licensing unconstitutional.
 
Police want it to know people may be armed. Itse states the police should be cautios if police know there should be no legal weapons in home or vehicle.

Another rep. Current law does nothing. Many police do not check background anyways.
How many gangbangers have permits. Permits affect only law abiding citizens.

Permits only cursory level scrutiny if CoP actually chooses to.
 
Londonderry rep. Pro. Vet. Didn't need a permit in military. Now after serving he has to ask civil CoP to let him carry. NH has highest vet per capita. Says increase prison sentences for misuse. Don't hurt law abiding citizens.

Pro, licenses allow someone who has access to police database to find gun owners. Licenses expire. If he carries after that day he is a criminal. Merely for putting gun in pocket.
 
Pro, undoing unconstitutional law. People cannot afford to go to court to fight licensing. (stab at vallaincourt ) police chiefs association worried about felons, but police treat conceal carriers like criminals if they know.
 
Next guy pro. Says why do police worry, this is a law abiding citizen. Motor vehicles have reciprocity, guns too. He is ffl. He doesn't care if he isn't involved in sale if it is legal. Common sense repeal. Open carry legal. A Tshirt becomes a barrier, a d makes a criminal if it goes over part of gun.
