New Gun Question

At first I couldn't get the 10th round into the mags.
Now I can after putting about a hundred rounds through the gun but I went to put the fully loaded mag with 10 rounds in the gun and it didn't slide into position as it normally should. Should I use a little more force and try to get it to lock in? Will the springs break in more and eliminate this issue?

I have to smack my 1911 mags fully loaded into the mag well. I'm pretty sure its because you're compressing the spring even more to disengage the slide lock.

Leave the mags loaded for a few days. My Sig factory mags for my 226 were unbelievably stiff when I first got them. They will wear in.

Slap the mag home like you would slap a ... never mind, just slap it home hard.

This. Just leave the mags fully loaded for a few days.

Lock slide open. Seat magazine. trip slide release. Shoot gun.
Reload Repeat till out of ammo
