New Bedford USPSA 6/28/09

I watch these videos over and over again (yours and mine). Awesome learning tool. Sometimes they will show you what you know you did wrong... sometimes it will show you things you didn't even know you did. MikeW- keep posting these so we can learn all the tricks! ;)

Woah, totally cool side by side videos, it's crazy just how one move can be the difference between a tie and 2-4 seconds. Makes us little guys think twice on how we break down stages :) Hope you keep uploading these!

I love how the guys at NB pack so much shooting into the small bays. Thanks guys!

Only one half-decent stage for me and four horrible ones. Mental mistakes, holster problems (again) and all around bad execution. But I still had a great time!

The good thing is I have already taken that holster off my belt. I am done with it. It just doesn't work for me. Back to the Ghost - the Ribas is up for sale.

I'll post some vids later too but right now I'm off to Chilli's

You should have seen the mag that went flying over my shoulder on the classifier [hmmm]

I heard on the radio of reports of a shooting star. I called in to let them know it was just your mag

My video, had some stupid mikes, but my gun didn't screw up once! YAY [shocked]

Di-
there are some shots you fire that your gun has some ridiculous muzzle flip. My guess is your grip is loosening on those shots, if you watch just your gun on that video, you'll see the difference.
You're going to want to focus on your grip, and that should help you a lot.

Mike, you dont happen to have any side by side videos with stage 1 do you? I'd be real curious to see how much difference it made with me shooting the left steel from the 2nd doorway and eliminate the run forward and back at the end, granted it would have been a better comparison if i didnt shoot 3 at it to knock it down...
but those primers were gonna go bad soon

Thanks for putting on a great match. I didnt think I was going to make it because I got a little lost. I took a right off of Reed onto Hixsville and tried driving down a gravel road until I realized there were pieces of spike strips randomly laid out. Going in reverse was interesting. Glad I made it and got to wintess the skills of squad 2 first hand.

Another great match from the gang at New Bedford. Nice balance on the stages, there were none that backed up at all.
Junglerott, I was on stage 2, do you have a name?
Dan
Matt B....we'll see how bad 4 stages were for you...

Matt, I don't have the video of that stage for you. I think Renee was still yelling at me. [slap]

I don't think that pushing the wall out of the way provided any advantage, though [grin]

I'm not as good at editing the vids as you guys so I have to upload them as seperate files to YT. Here is the first.

On stage 5, did you have hits on the inside right popper and not have it go down? Three of us had that happen on our squad. I don't know why none of us thought to stop and get it calibrated.

Your stage 1 run was excellent. I couldn't hit that little far left steel for anything.

Get a CR Speed holster.

Steve- FWIW I think at least one guy in our squad had that happen to the same piece of steel. I think it was a major load. My minor load got it ok though- ~140PF 9mm 147gr- which usually does steel fine.

I too F'd up on that same POS piece of steel on stage 1. Everyone saw me hit it... but it didn't drop! [angry]

I did. You can actually hear the hits the first time I shot and I moved on until I realized they were still standing. Then I engaged them again. I was so flustered after the holster issue that I didn't even think to ask for calibration either.
