Ive been playing around with a beat to shit AMS Colt 1860 Army that I got from my father years ago. Its got a lot of internal issues, and i like to tinker, so ive been ordering parts, filing here and there for fitment. While doing research looking for parts and info, I ran across this beauty on Gunbroker. So waiting until about the time was up, I put in my maximum bid. I dont like to dick around and play bidding wars, I just figure out the max I want to spend, and let the Auction gods take it from there. Well the Auction gods smiled on me and I am now eagerly awaiting the arival of this beauty. I know its not a civil war era Colt, it looked too nice for the price. BUT, it is an ORIGINAL Colt, not an import, MADE by Colt in the U.S.A. Its what I believe to be a Colt Signature Series, 2nd gen. 1860 Army model made in the 1970's......Enough said, enjoy the pics.....

beautiful! now you got to tether it to your vehicle with some para cord and drag it for a mile or two...give it some character. ;)

If/when I ever lose my firearms license;
I'm carrying this...

The training will be epic!

Very nice! I have the same...4602. Congratulations! I do still keep an eye out for a nice vintage one.

Here's mine with it's GGGG grand daddy which belongs to a friend and has been in his family since the skirmish.

So cool! [cheers]

Any local stores in Mass/NH that specialize or carry BP cap & ball guns? I have a hankering...

Not your everyday find.
Thanks for the pictures.
