It's Christmas time and my wife wants to buy me something. I have a cheap set of electronic ear muffs for shooting at the range, however the support bridge has broken and I have taped it back together several times. Also if I am next to a loud high power shooter I wind up needing ear plugs and electronic muffs, Any recommendations on a good set of electronic ear muffs for my wife to get me?

Pro Ears - owner Dan Nigro is an all around good guy, the products are good, and built on Howard Leight muffs (so you can easily gets the structural parts by ordering the corresponding muff from www.labsafety.com)

i have about 6 different kinds of ear muffs. they all work just fine, and i usually go for the cheap ones, around $20. I have one set of electronic ones, but the electronic part doesn't work anymore, so they work like regular ear muffs.

ive shot and been next to almost any caliber (excepts for a .50Cal) and they all work the same.

my girlfriend hates loud noises, so when she comes with me to the range she uses whichever ear muffs she finds in my car, and she never complained. Save your money for ammo, and get some $20 Winchester ones. (they also worked great on the monster jam i went to a few months ago)

i have this ones:

i cant find pictures of the other ones i own. But you get an idea. I also use these ear muffs to shoot a .357 magnum indoors and they work fine.

I got a set of custom made plugs last summer, and I think they were the best shooting accessory I've ever bought. They're more comfortable and MUCH cooler in the summer than muffs. I toss a pair of muffs on top around compensated guns and indoors.
