Anyone collect Murata shotguns?

I didn’t even know they made shotguns. I know a guy that collects Murata rifles. I have no interest but I believe they have some important significance in Japan.

The Murata rifle was the first domestic Japanese military rifle. Some of the rifles were sold as surplus and converted into shotguns. More shotguns were purpose-built, apparently into the 20th Century judging from this ad:
