Would these be legal or order to a MA FFL? I can't tell if the gun has a bayonet lug or flash suppressor. I know I would need to order it w/ the 10 round mag instead.

It has a flash suppressor and a pistol grip.

You need to swap out and pin a new muzzle device.

yup. as long as that is done you'll be all set. i know someone that owns one in MA.

I seem to remember reading about reliability and customer service issues. Anyone else remember something along those lines?

I own an MSAR E4. It has a levang linear comp permanently installed. The levang deflects noise and pressure wave forward and is highly recommended. I like the rifle a lot. MSAR no longer makes them. MSAR and Ratworx still provide service. Some people have had issues with them.

I believe RatWorx makes a CA compliant model that is legit in MA.

The going rate for one of these should be around $1500

I had problems with a warranty issue on mine. I sent my rifle in, MSAR filed for bankruptcy, and I never saw it again.

RatWorx made good on a replacement, but it will still a CF. I wouldn't buy a new one now. Especially when you can get a FN FS2000 for the same price.
