As the title states, the fore end on my 835 is loose. Its a wood stocked example. There is about 1/4 to 1/2 in of play when its in battery. I took it apart to examine it and nothing is glaringly wrong, the retaining nut that holds the fore end on the action bar/tube assembly is on tight.

I did notice, and maybe it is by design, that there in s relief in the wood of the smallest dimensions that the retaining nut bears against to hold it on. Maybe its just worn and the channel in the fore arm has been carved out with repeated use?

Obvious fix is just get e new set, I was leaning towards black synthetic anyways.

Anyone run into this?
