Inspired by Bob J and MassMark, I'm gonna step up.

I'm ex Air Force and my AFSC is Pilot - Tactical Fighter and Pilot - Strategic Bomber.

Pilots celebrate a lot of things. So here we go. Pilots celebrate their first 100 hours of flight. Well I'm approaching my first 100 posts. KARMA! KARMA! sign on and the wife will randomly choose one of ya and you'll be green. Good Luck!

My father was USAAF; my cousin flew in 'Nam (DFC, AM w/3 clusters) and my sister and her husband were all Air Force.

Good on you for this karma, flyboy.
 
Please sign me up as well. Pilot here mostly sailplanes, some helo, some fixed wing all on the civil side. I do CAP cadet glider instruction- I'm not RM nor do I ever claim to be.

DAMN! What did he fly? I flew A1's and have a couple of DFC's and an AM for shooting up a bunch of shit. I'd like to meet that guy! Toss a few beers and share some stories!

He DIDN'T fly missions that DIDN'T constitute incursions of other nations' airspace in a plane that DIDN'T exist as part of a unit that DIDN'T exist.

Nor did he fly an unarmed plane that didn't exist in such a manner as to make it appear to attack enemy forces that were moving to capture a downed pilot.

And his plane was NOT escorted by jet fighters during a change of base to preclude it being bounced and downed by aircraft of a once-major world power.

Nor did a once-major world power have a dossier on him AND his family. And that non-existent dossier did not include photos.

Neither was he forbidden from being w/i 500 feet of any border checkpoints with said power.

Or from traveling in the same vehicle w/his family while in certain geographic regions.

Or from ever traveling w/o a sidearm.

It is all wild speculation, exaggeration and rumor. You can't believe everything you read on the net.

Nothing wrong with what you do brother. If you fly you are in the breed and you're alright with me! Best of luck in the drawing! Don't matter if your civilian or military. Flying is flying. What ratings do you have?
 
Please count me in - I was green (as in Army) before I saw the light and "crossed into the blue" - air national guard full timer in Operations at Barnes.
