Massachusetts AG Healey sues Trump Administration over 3D-printed guns

Paid for by Bloomberg.

Since fiscal 2016, Healey’s first full year in office, the attorney general’s budget has gone up nearly 16 percent, rising from $43.5 million to $50.3 million. The Senate and House budget proposals for her office for the next fiscal year, which starts July 1, are $1.5 million apart, with the House at $50.8 million and the Senate at $52.3 million. Close to half of Healey’s budget targets specific areas of focus, but there is no set aside for litigation against the federal government.

The attorney general said she hasn’t hired additional staff to work on the federal litigation, but she occasionally has tapped the services of two special assistant attorneys general who are paid by a third-party nonprofit called the State Energy & Environmental Impact Center at the New York University School of Law.

The center was established in 2017 through a $6 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies, an endeavor founded by former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg. It is headed by David Hayes, the Interior Department’s former deputy secretary during the Clinton and Obama administrations.

If she cared she would leave things as they are.

All this publicity will blow up the thirst for 3D printing knowledge.

The criminals will get wind of this more than they have already and will go into full production mode.

Some of these guns really will end up in the wrong hands and kids will die.

OOHHHH... maybe that's what she wants!!!

More gun laws!!!

I get it now.

Just like Fast and Furious...

Obama and Holder wanted to force reporting of multiple sales of rifles on border states.
To do so, they had to create anti gun sentiment on the border states.
So, they released thousands of guns to the cartels who ended up killing thousands of innocent people.
It all fell apart when a border patrol officer got killed and ATF insiders blew the lid off the scheme.

Maura is selling out the inner city kids by allowing them to be killed by these guns which will now be created more by an order in magnitude.

This will excite her to a whole new level she now will try to ban LTC's in Massachusetts and demonize legal gun owners.

So, let me get this straight . . . even though it is perfectly legal to build your own firearm, according to MA law (don't forget to register!) and federal law (give it a unique serial number and do some paperwork when you sell, or just keep it and don't bother), ...

THERE IS NO FEDERAL REQUIREMENT TO ADD A SERIAL NUMBER TO A FIREARM YOU BUILD FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL USE NOW OR EVER, EVEN IF YOU SOMEDAY SELL IT.

You're welcome to post a cite of this nonexistent law.

(And there is no Massachusetts law requiring it, either)

If you just woke up from a 70 year coma, you would think you were in a communist country

And if you were awake for those 70 years, you'd KNOW you were in a communist country.

It is time for a commie purge, from top to bottom.

Someone needs to make a fake 3-d pistol file and when you open it, it shows a picture of a middle finger cut from an American flag!

According to the complaint, new rules submitted to Congress by the Administration would remove 3D-printed gun files from the U.S. Munitions List and transfer oversight over the export of 3D-printed gun files to the Commerce Department, which lacks the jurisdiction necessary to ensure that these files cannot be disseminated widely by email, electronic file transfer, hard drive transfer, or other means. The attorneys general also argue that under the rules, the Commerce Department would have discretion to grant licenses to post 3D-printed gun files to the internet or export them without Congressional oversight, effectively undermining rules regulating the export of weapons on the U.S. Munitions List.

A guy I know through the internet wrote the GCode to mill out RMR cuts for slides on the Ghost Gunner 2 - and demoed it at Shot Show. People are already asking when will the jigs (or sti files) be available.
