I remember that you could get an automatic weapons permit from the local police chief, it looked like a LTC only it was green, wonder if they still have them under the newer gun laws? I think it costs $200.

$100, yes you can still apply, but you must be a federally licensed collector or instructor to police to qualify. It DOES NOT cover what an LTC does, so you need to get both.
