Several years ago, I purchased a Ruger 22/45 MKII for a song. The only thing is that the previous owner, who has since deceased, had the polymer frame milled down on both sides and installed rubber grip panels. It appears this is what he did:
He did a good job but I would like to find an original frame assembly for it. I have not contacted Ruger yet but most likely will in the next day or so. For those that need a visual, it's #71 in the attached drawing. I have looked in a few places. The place I downloaded the schematic had most of the parts for sale that are shown in the schematic but #71 isn't even listed. Any suggestions from any Ruger Gurus on here that might know where I might find one or maybe get a P/N from someone.
