The 550 is longer and fully auto. I dont think they are allowed to be imported into the US.
The 551 is the original Swiss version with the Swiss lower receiver (and Swiss mags). They just started being sold in the US by SIG.
The 556 is a 551 with some US made parts (US made AR type lower to accept AR mags). Different gun.
