The long hex head screw that comes with the QD, replace with the 1/2" one. Assembly replaces the forward quick release pin.

Yes, I lose the ability to take down the weapon without a tool. No biggie to me. I am actually looking online for an 8-32 bolt with a large knurled head to solve that.

UPDATE



I will be replacing the non-QD side with this metal knurled 8-32 bolt. I am sure there are multiple places to get these from, I found this one at MSC Industrial Direct for $4.38.

It was actually more for shipping than the part itself.

All back together. The polishing is indeed a major improvement, even dry, it's a night vs day difference.

All external hex hardware replaced with stainless versions.

The barrel assembly will be Cerakoted stainless steel in the near future.

Just waiting for the replacement Noveske K9 to come in.
