There's a level at which I'd suggest that without the conceptual framework required for the first kind of 2a activism, the second kind of activism is not sufficient to defend and promote the limitations on government, but it's certainly a better base on which to build a dialog than the alternative, where most people are scared, ignorant, and contemptuous of the very fact of guns themselves.
