Not to nitpick, but I'm fairly certain that a 5.7x28 would go through a vest, and possibly a tokarev depending on the vest and the load. Vests depend on the kevlar or aramid fibers acting like a net to catch the bullet. The smaller the projectile and the higher the velocity, the more likely it will make it through a vest.

That said, in general a handgun is a handgun and a rifle is a rifle.
 
Braude, as completely obnoxious as he is.. At least he makes no pretenses about being an unabashed communist liberal. He is unapologetic about and freely admits that he is a hypocrite. I think, to most, he typifies the cambridge liberal. And, as such, turns a lot of people off completely.

On the other hand.. McPhee, says that she is a "right of center" moderate. She has said on numerous occasions, during the election, that she is not a democrat and tends to vote republican. But, then she goes on to say how she idolizes Hillary, and John McCain is the best of the best as far as Republicans. They have her on Fox News in the "conservative" slot from time to time.. And all of the positions she takes are hard core left, pro union, gov can solve everything positions..
That really makes me nuts.
 
Isn't it ironic that it takes a horrible crime like the one in Mont Vernon, N.H. for antis to pull their heads out of their asses and realize that we live a sick world and a gun could possible save their lives some day.

McPhee is mostly right of center. Small government conservatives aren't 'right of center', they're 'right'. Right of center tends to be neo-con.

McPhlea is a government loving, gun grabbing, quasi-socialist (and an unmitigated "Badge Groupie").
In Massachusetts that makes her just right of center. Politics being relative.
 
Listening to McPhee makes my ears bleed.

1. Because she has an ear piercingly annoying voice and her tone is almost always condescending.

2. Many times she takes the stupidest subjects and drags them out for waaay too long.

3. She refuses to give anyone the time of day when they call in and disagree with her.

Yup, McPhee sucks out loud! When I hear her starting to rant about something with that annoying voice of hers I wanna stab myself in the ear with a sewing needle, she should seriously consider gargling with old razor blades. Also, she has got to be one of the rudest talk show hosts I've ever heard, even people that agree with her get cut right off & dumped. She definitely suffers from the I-love-to-hear-myself-talk syndrome...which goes to show what a lunatic she is, as she sounds like a bag of cats getting hit with a stick!

Not with the ammo currently available to civilians it won't. There was a round that would go through crappy LII vests but it's not really on the market anymore. The real AP ammo intended for that cartridge is not available outside of official papered LE use. (FN only sells it DIRECT to agencies that use it, and it cannot be purchased by individual officers or anything outisde of official agency channels. )

What's even more entertaining about McPhee's crap is that her ignorance speaks volumes- she's supposed to be a "crime reporter" but doesn't know jack crap about guns. She also waxes prophetic about law enforcement but likely refuses to acknowledge the fact that there is a not so insignificant number of people in law enforcement circles that are pro-gun, and pro armed citizen.

I think these people like being antis because it gives them filler material for their mostly crappy shows. They'll likely drift away from the topic as they get flogged on
the air over it.

McPhee is just completely void of intelligent thought. I would rather poke out my ears with a sharp pencil than listen to her voice... even if she were on my side (and she's not!).

If you can ever force yourself to listen to one of his segments you'll see that his arguements usually don't carry so much as a thimble full of water. I listen to that show for entertainment purposes when I'm out driving around during their time slot and I tell ya, a child with the mastery of grammar and reading comprehension commensurate to that of a fifth grader could shut him up in a debate.

I got into it with Michelle last year during election time when she was trying to say the McCain – Feingold - Cochran bill didn’t restrict first amendment rights. I used the example of the NRA not being able to list the candidates and their positions on gun control within 60 days of the election. I didn’t listen to her too much before that morning or I would have come up with another example. I couldn’t get her to stick to the topic of McCain – Feingold. She kept trying to start a 2nd amendment debate and I kept trying to pull her back on topic.

It ended when she said “You have to admit that the NRA is powerful.” And I said “Yes it’s powerful because it’s a group of like minded people large enough to make powerful, as protected by…” I was going to say “the first amendment” but she hung up on me. For the next 2 weeks I heard her saying things like “I don’t want the NRA lobbying MY congressmen!”
 
Mcphee is an idiot, and ALWAYS hangs up on anyone who starts to make any sense...God forbid that ever happens on hr show...

And you can tell what kinda idiot she is by the caliber of people agrees with who call in...anytime a moron calls the show, you can bet she'll let him/her talk for 20 minutes and then say something like "Hey, thanks for the insight...it's refreshing to hear from someone who know's what they're talking about....not like that idiot who was trying to tell me that xxxxxx"

It's just frustrating listening to her...
 
Braude is an enemy of the US Constitution , and proud of it.

McFee seems to think reporting crime stories makes her an expert on Basic Civil rights , like the 1st & 2nd Amendments , but she is stunningly ignorant of them.

I turn off the radio when they are on , and therefore do not hear the advertisements of their fine sponsors.
 
OK, are we confusing Margery Egan with Michele McPhee? Margery is the former Bawstin Hair-Oiled columnist who called the GOAL rally on Boston Common in 1999 a bunch of insane whackos. She is also, last I knew, Braude's co-host. McPhee seems not as brain-dead as Margery. Correct me if I'm wrong.

A Tokarev won't, a 5.7 will, so will any .22 Mag and most .22LR. The right .500 load will too.
