Get around or get a round? I'm not sure what you mean.

I ment from getting around is that breaking down a link belt is one way of saving some $$. But each time I come across links, I save them.. even training rounds.

Looks like standard M80 ball. Love the funky purple primer sealant. Don't expect match accuracy. might be better suited for a M1A but at least the brass is great for re-loading.

Remington Arms US 7.62 nato ball ammo belted on M-60 machinegun links.

Likely very safe to shoot in a .308 bolt gun.

I have in the collection of belts....M61, M62, M63, M80, and M82. Mostly mine are set up in four and one patterns... M80+M62

US M80 ammunition is the same whether it is linked for use in machine guns or loose for use in rifles.
