Hi guys,
I'm a long time lurker from Hawaii. You have a nice forum here. I haven't spent much time up in the North East and lived out here for most of my adult life.
Even though our gun laws are pretty strict we have a lot of gun enthusiast out here. And, we have a really nice public range in Honolulu.
Later,
Dave
Here's some photos of hunting pigs on the island of Niihau.
The campsite.
The pigs are smaller on Niihau and are from the original Polynesian settlers. I think they are the only ones in Hawaii that didn't breed with the larger european hogs that Captain Cook and the others brought to Hawaii.
These are great guns (Marlin 1894C / .357 with iron sights). I'm selling off all my hunting rifles but keeping this one. Highly recommended. With practice, these things can lay down some lead quickly and accurately.
And, plenty accurate at 50 yards...
It was an amazing weekend. Too bad the hunt is no longer available. It was the best trip I've ever been on...hunting or otherwise.
