How to verify an LTC..

I have this idea that there's a way to verify an LTC, even if you're not in the process of transferring a gun; sort of like a pre-qualification for a mortgage, but for guns.

For instance: you want to make sure a buyer isn't wasting your time, or you want to reassure a seller.

But I can't find any reference to such a service or cliky-button on the state's website.

Did I make this up?

There is a selection on the Gun transaction Portal to "Generate Firearms Licence Validation". Maybe thats what your thinking of?
