So I'm sure some of you non 1911 guys mess with your carry guns and I'm curious how much work you do to your guns.

For you 1911 guys i know back in your day you met jmb one time havent washed your hands since. And if god wanted us to have night sights browning would've invented them

But for all my macros i have a pretty standard package

I cut the beaver tail off fluff and buff the back

undercut under the mag release slightly

Put a finger groove in the trigger

Crackhead cut a thumb spot on the frame for my offhand thumb

Tlr sub 7

Curious if im the only one who messes with guns like this

JMB did some amazing things, but the sights on the 1911 and 1911A1 are nothing to brag about.

The slide on the left is a 1911 and the right is a 1911A1.

You will see that the 1911 rear sight was much smaller, rounded on the top, and has a very small sighting notch.

The 1911A1 sight isn't any real improvement.

I'm just busting on the 1911 guys lol

I know you can do anything you want to a 1911

My macros are unmolested … I just slap a RMSc on them and that’s it. Although… the nickel parts kits are back in stock.

Yeah, but since jkelly1229 does his work while sh*t-faced, I'd like to see what they look like afterward. [laugh]
Other than the crackhead cut for my support thumb they look fine lol the comp had undergone surgery

I did get hammered and make my fcu on my 3rd comp unrepairable friday lol

It was real sticky and fell apart when i turned it over

Its going back to sig lol

The hell are you doing to your guns? Remind me to avoid your WTS/WTT threads.

I've got better things to do than modify a fully functional gun for cosmetic reasons.

I'll change sights to fit my preferences and replace worn parts, but if I buy a 1911, or any other classic metal framed handgun, chances are it's either a 70 series Colt or something fairly expensive and it sure as hell ain't getting hacked with a dremel. If I snag a pistol with some damaged sights or a slide or frame that needs to be refinished I might machine a slide to fit some sights or a red dot, maybe do some checkering or slide serrations, but that ain't getting done with a dremel lol

Should i put custom grip mod no low ballers?
