Hot Weather Carry

May be a stupid question...if one tends to sweat a lot- especially in this frickin weather, is carrying stainless better than blued or other? Is finish affected by sweating?

I try not to sweat on the EDC. I change up to OWB in Kydex to keep the corrosive sweat away from my weapon.

I carry a sig 232 Stainless in a front pocket holster. It's only 100 why are you sweatting.

Yes and yes.
Just like seawater, the salt in your sweat will cause your blued guns to rust.
Stainless holds up much better.

you could always wipe down your EDC piece each night, I hear frog lube is awesome. or get a Glock I hear they never rust.

You could submerge the flock in sweat and it will still fire..

I carried a Glock 29 in sweaty weather and always wiped it down every night as it would get soaking wet during the day. But after a while a spot off rust appeared on the rear sight but never anywhere else on the slide (inside or out). I guess the sights are made of different steel. I removed the rust off the sight as best as I could by rubbing it hard with an oil soaked rag.

Glock factory finish is one of the best for wet environments.
Blue is tough to keep up with if wet for days on end.
