HK USC Conversions

I think I'm finally getting my hands on a used USC and am trying to decide what I want to do with it. I think my options are:

1. leave it stock and enjoy it
2. do the grease gun lower thing
3. do a full UMP conversion

I'm planning on SBRing it. I live in MA.

My first choice would be to do the UMP thing, but there are no prebans, so I'd be stuck with either blocked or illegal mags. Is there such a thing as a completely reliable, non-janky grease gun conversion?

I would leave it stock and just sbr it. You can get hera post ban 20 rounders for out of state. The ump conversion is costly and the grease gun has been unreliable according to the HK forum. I just use 10 round mags and it conserves ammo better.

If going UMP route it's probably cheaper to buy new Omega Gideon Shadow receiver and an UMP parts kit.

Here's a completed UMP-clone with the omega receiver, final cost is around $2600ish?
