View attachment 2116I have attached a couple photographs of a Mauser and would appreciate help I.D.ing what it is. First I thought it was an Argentine then the rear sling swivel made me think again. I don't have the rifle yet so I cant slug the barrel to determine the caliber. There is no crest and it was not scrubbed. O.K. folks where did this baby come from?

Looks like a Spanish 1916

Actually I have no idea what it is.[thinking]

Looks like a Spanish 1916 butt stock sling attachment, but Argentine features on the rifle itself.

Found it guys, 1800's Spanish Mauser.

Mauser Military Rifles of the World By Robert W. D. Ball, great source. Used the serial number. Also interesting it never had a crest according to the article.
