Wanted a firearm just to try out one thing because you think its cool?

And it goes even a step further.
The one thing you want to try only works on 2 manufacturers guns.

After that, its 2 guns you really never wanted or had an interest in.

Anyone else have this experience and have to justify the purchase to themselves?

Well, the gun for me is a Smith and Wesson M&P 9 full size and id choose the FDE variant just because.

And the product

I dont need either. But the want is high.
And to add to the torture, smith has a $100 rebate right now.

I'm a bit of a Leupold fan boy. When that sight first came out, I really liked the low profile aspect of it. That being said, I don't have an optic on any of my handguns. Remember, he who dies with the most toys wins. Please post pictures when you get it.

I go through "phases" of this a bit here and there.
But I always end up looking at what I have and think if I had to leave ,what am I not grabbing
I go through this too. Thankfully it helps keep me from spending money I don't have on stuff I don't need. After I say that there's some new stuff that I'm eyeing.

I came across a 470 nito express about ten years ago, side by side and had a chance to shoot both barrels... lawd 700 grains is quite the push. glasses were hanging from an ear, ear protection got blown off and grass was flattened 15 ft around me.. made me smile
