I always have peace of mind when buying Chinese plastic items from Harbor Frieght Tools, purveyors of high-quality items for the budget minded.I'm leery buying anything plastic these days, even friggin Lowes buckets have tendency to fall apart in the cold or repeated use. Shitty plastic can literally disintegrate at the worst moment, I don't know how they implant that kind of tech into shitty plastic, but I know that it would crack and fail just at that moment, precisely.
Friends don't let friends waste money on shit. Get steel cans. Few bucks more, more peace of mind.
I'm looking at that retractable air hose. Hmmmm. I could use one of those in the garage.
I bough a few and liked them, when I went back for more, somebody cleaned them out.Last week Tractor Supply had some real nice black Ammo Cans (metal) for 10 bucks, Made in China of course but still pretty decent quality.
If you are heading to the one in Southwick call first because I pretty much cleaned them out.
Sorry about that.......I bough a few and liked them, when I went back for more, somebody cleaned them out.
Apology not needed, I doubt you drove to East Wareham.Sorry about that.......
skinflints see the good in everything!
The steel cans are a lot more than a few bucks, more like $10. I'm not praising the plastic cans tho, but they are a very good price for basic ammo storage and organization.I'm leery buying anything plastic these days, even friggin Lowes buckets have tendency to fall apart in the cold or repeated use. Compared to the Plano ones you'd see on sale at Dicks for $5 during a buy one get one free sale, the Harbor Freights are smaller and they don't stack as securely and they feel clunky when you open/close the lid and lock/unlock the lid; the quality is not as good as the Planos.
For a few bucks more, the Plano cans are better and I don't plan to buy any more of the HF's. IMO, both the HF and Plano cans are too small to hold a decent amount of ammo.
I stepped up to MTM plastic .50 cal cans and they're fantastic and you can get them for $10 at Walmart.

Can't stand on them like you can the metal cans, but for the amount of weight you'll be putting in them, they can handle it. Wouldn't stack too many fully loaded tho.
I bought one on a whim when I was there getting some gloves when it was really cold out. Bobbled it in the parking lot and it fell on the asphalt. Broke into pieces like a piece of glass.

The May catalog I got in the mail has a coupon for $2.99 again - limit 4.

I went in last week with a coupon. I had the guy get me 20. As I was cashing out, I noticed the limit on the coupon. Guy rang it up without a care in the world. The May catalog I got in the mail has a coupon for $2.99 again - limit 4.
