There will be checkpoints and color swatches to make sure that color is confirmed to be pink, not magenta or mauve, pink! Protestors still have the right of peaceful assembly, but they must wear a tutu or face the consequences. Legal scholars already challenging this unconstitutional decree, meanwhile protestors are encouraged to get a tutu until a stay may be granted.

The VA Supreme Court has denied the appeal earlier today and here's the latest from VCDL:

IMPORTANT REQUEST: We need 10,000 patriots to fill the Capitol grounds for Monday's rally!

Unfortunately, the Virginia Supreme Court just said they did not have enough information on the stay denied by the lower court to issue their own stay, so the Governor's illegal gun-ban on Capitol grounds is going to stand for this event.

Here is what we need to do on Monday to make the rally a success:

DETAILS:
VCDL needs at least 10,000 members/gun owners to commit to "taking one for the team'" by entering the Capitol grounds unarmed around 10 am and being in place for the rally by 10:45 am. Those who were lobbying will already be unarmed, so we urge them to be part of the 10,000 inside the fencing. NOTE: knives with folding metal blades less than 3-inches long are ARE permitted both in the General Assembly AND on the Capitol grounds.
For every one gun owner on the Capitol grounds, we need another two to five people outside the Capitol grounds's fence on 9th Street. Those doing so can be legally armed.
If you can commit to being one of our needed 10,000 unarmed members inside the fence, please help us by asking several of your family and friends to be your designated armed escort to the gates and to stand outside the fenced area to watch over us.

WHY:

We are separating our responsibilities, in this otherwise untenable and unconstitutional situation foisted on gun owners by Northam. Gun owners standing, both inside and outside of the fence, ensure that the Capitol grounds and the surrounding area is filled to capacity to hear our speakers and it will make a great visual for the cameras!

For those who are going to be on the Capitol grounds, the less items you bring along, the quicker and more efficient the screening.

VCDL will have loudspeakers so that those outside the fence will be able to hear. The event will also be broadcast live on WRVA radio, 1140 AM /96.1 FM.

IMPORTANT:

We ask everyone to follow the temporary Capitol grounds rules. There is NO need for an act of civil disobedience to achieve standing for a court fight. We already have standing.

We still will have our day in court to fully debate the governor's unconstitutional overreach in just a few short weeks.

Thank you very much for your support and understanding. The Governor and his cronies would like nothing better than to see the Capitol grounds empty, with the speakers talking only to themselves. We simply cannot let that happen.

PLEASE CHOOSE ONE:

Arrive temporarily UNARMED and go INSIDE the fenced area on the Capitol grounds or
Stand with us, LEGALLY ARMED if you so choose, just OUTSIDE the fence and watch over your brothers and sisters inside the fence
Either way, we'll see you there!

FINAL NOTE:

Monday is going to be a day of lobbying, with a peaceful rally. All law-abiding citizens are invited. The Capitol, State, and Richmond police forces will be providing strong security. We thank them in advance for helping make sue that the event is a safe and fun event.

There is a bill that proposes if you had the scary, black, killy guns before July 1, 2020 then you’ll have until July 1, 2021 to get rid of it (remove from your possession) OR you can ask the Virginia State Police for a permit for said gun aka have it registered with VSP.

As for the martial arts / self defense bit... that’s not true at all. Please look into it again. It’s talking about training for civil disorder, para military type training. Not “self defense” classes like your kid’s karate class. So no, dojos don’t need to worry about this particular one, right now at least. Besides all of that, this isn’t new here, they simply reworded / amended some verbiage in it which didn’t really change anything.

After New York and Connecticut passed their registration laws that 90% of the people promptly did not follow, I see no reason the same won't happen in Virginia in regards to people ignoring the law.

I think if I was one of the folks inside the fence unarmed I would feel more than a little vulnerable. My hat is off to those that take up the position given that they will quite literally be surrounded by armed people, some of whose intents are known like responsible patriots and reasonable police, but some with unknown intent like agitators, tactical Tommys, and nervous easily intimidated cops.

And even though I am not usually given over to tin foil tales -- I do really worry about planted operatives who are there to instigate an event that will let the gun grabbers capitalize on the narrative they are spinning.

The VA Bloomberg funded anti-gun cabal is teeing this up for a propaganda victory through misrepresentation. The media have been issued their talking points which paint our friends in VA attending the lobbying day not as concerned citizens but rather white supremacists, if not outright then somehow sympathetic to that cause. Sorry @minininjer I know that is probably going to come as a quite a curious shock to your family. ;)

This corrupt theme has been quite thoroughly taken up by just about every news outlet and social media thought shaper with "another Charlottesville" being the buzz phrase.
I was watching FOX last night and they were getting right on board with the theme, Martha MacCallum has Cam Edwards on to talking about the lobbying day and firearms ban and who does she bring on to counter him, a board member from the Virginia NAACP. The guy's sole expertise in this 1st and 2nd Amendment discussion was that he is black, and white supremacist are bad, yeah no shit FOX.

VCDL is absolutely calling for the proper action in that press release but I do fear the deck is being stacked for subversion.
Hope I am proved wrong, be careful VA friends.

BTW I just used PayPal to send a donation to VCDL those loudspeakers they need for folks around the square are not going to pay for themselves.

I'd be shocked if "the Base" (and for that matter that Warm_Garand douche earlier in this thread) aren't FBI or similar.

unfortunately the non-compilers never leave their homes with their unregistered banned rifles and standard capacity contraband metal boxes. Gun folks living in fear of detection and not going to ranges and other safe locations to air out these firearms, practice and pass to the next generation is essentially what Bloomberg, Cuomo, the downstate legislators and the NYSP wanted. Mission accomplished.
