The thing I fear the most about the left is their willingness to tear out parts of the constitution when things dont go their way, which is exactly what the founding fathers were leery of.

If Ginsberg croaks, that leaves a 5-3 situation, so no real need to put in a replacement for her. Sure a 6-3 is a safer bet given Roberts is a turncoat at times, but a 5-3 or 4-4 ruling is better than 4-5 that doesn't go the way we want.

That proposition is very short term. I'm concerned that the next time we get a Dem President and even a slim Dem Senate majority that they'll pack the Court with more liberal Justices, Dems have already shown they'll stop at nothing to get their way when it comes to SCOTUS. If Trump holds in 2020 and Dems take the Senate then the conservative SCOTUS majority lasts a few more years since Dems won't confirm anyone Trump nominates regardless when he does it. If 2020 brings a Dem President then they get to nominate her replacement and then the advantage is lost.
