Just bought this http://www.keepshooting.com/french-army-mvp-cce-parka.html and this http://www.keepshooting.com/french-army-polar-fleece-jacket.html. There is a youtube review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d_DfmfZVbw that pretty much nails it. Discount code "CATALOG" gave me a 10% off, YMMV. Sizing is a little bit tricky, I'm 5'9" 250lbs (I know, I know), and 2XL is an almost perfect fit for me. I will not use these on the street, don't want to be mistaken for a space shuttle door gunner, it's strictly for outdoor activities. As the youtube guy mentioned, the parka is rather short which makes it easy to access the hardware on your belt. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, now need Gore-Tex overpants at a reasonable price..

There's many items out there that are labeled french foreign legion. These two, however, are authentic. A friend gave me his parka, some years ago. It got lost during my move to the U.S., but I think I'll replace it with one from your link. It's exellent stuff, if you don't mind the CCE pattern. Don't be surprised by the size of the hood. It's huge, and meant to be worn over a helmet.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. There is an adjustment strap on the back of the hood, and even when cinched to a minimum it's still big even for my huge melon. It should be GTG over a ball cap or a boonie hat.

I have one of the fleece jackets and it is great. The zipper is backwards based on US standards but easy to get used to. $20 is a phenominal bargain i paid $25 a year and a half ago.

I wanted a parka but they didnt have sizes. Looks like a new shipment gonna pick one up thanks for posting.

Got one coming. You can't beat a brand new Gore Tex jacket like that for $32 (with Jason's discount code). I really like the fleece jacket, extremely well made and comfortable 'cept for the girl zipper (they do that different ova theya).

Got my fleece today. Real nice except for the zipper on the "wrong" side. I like how high the collar is also. Seems to be well made.

How does the french parka compare to this one: http://www.amazon.com/German-Army-Bundeswehr-Flecktarn-Parka/dp/B00LUVS08W/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_i anyone have any experience? I like the Flecktarn pattern better but it seems like the french one might be made of better material/warmer. The french one comes with a liner?

Read the Q&A. The German one isn't waterproof without special treatment applied.

The French one doesn't have a liner but the 2nd item listed above can be your "liner" (the Polartec fleece).

Got mine too, got an XL and it is a nice jacket. Being left handed I didn't notice the zipper difference.

Got mine today. They run big, I probably should have gotten a size smaller.

As good or maybe even better quality than my USMC issue. Definitely worth the money.
