On a Bushmaster M4 Type 16. I know it's illegal in MA to have telescoping stocks (adjustable with spring and lever) but can you "adjust" the length with the bolt?
This seems like a good question. I know an adjustable stock can be field adjusted in a matter of seconds, but what if tools are required to move it. I have read that the fixed-type tele stocks are "pinned" to stay in the same spot. What if that pin is a nut and bolt requiring the use of two wrenches to remove? Does this change anything?
On fixed telestocks the buffer tube doesn't have any holes in it to accomodate the adjustment IIRC.You would be better off getting an adjustable one and pinning it yourself.

As long as you make it permanent,I don't see why it would be illegal.Doesn't say you can't have an adjustable stock,it just says that it can't be adjustable..LOL
