Was doing a bunch or reading and came across Ed Fong’s DBJ series of DYI / minimalist J-Pole antennas

Anyone used these or played with one?

(Sorry for all the dumb newb questions guys)

Yes, I have one currently hooked up to an Anytone 868 DMR radio. Works fine. I also tried it with my Icom ID-5100A and it works there too.

I have a backup setup at home that I use now and then, and a couple in bags for when I'm on the go. They work well.

I use his 70cm/2m DBJ-2 roll up antenna and it’s super.

I had the plans and built one but don't have a swr meter for those bands yet so I also bought one and it works great.
