DIY coloring of LPK items

I'm doing an AR build that I want to have a bunch of Flat Dark Earth on it. I saw a picture of guy's rifle that had the bolt release, mag release and safety switch painted in FDE and I thought it was awesome. I can't find his post on AR15.com anymore, so I can't ask what he used. Any recommendations?

Holy options batman! Now I need to figure out which one matches the CAA tan grips. I don't think the FDE does, thinking more of the Desert Beige.
