mako group has a "starfish" mag coupler.
idea been around a while.
IMO it looks absurd and would be a PITA to store in range bag or case.
in a bullpup i would expect the mags to interfere.
maybe on an AR it would work but presents ergo issue on other rifles

Mako or Fab Defense... it's the same product that's in the video.

No practical use for it.

They came up with it as an FU directed at the NY SAFE Act.

The two "mag "might" be ok.... BUT..
1) The star mags ...you have open ended mags that are subject to getting dirt/stuff in them if you rest/shoot the rifle from the ground.
2) As you empty the 10 rounder's , the full mags side being loaded will be heavier than the emptied "light" side of the star causing you to have to twist the rifle a bit to overcome the imbalance.
3) No way to carry it any type of pouch when empty or to have a second star to replace a empty star.

My vote is the star is impractical and a waste of money.
The duo is more practical .
