Californians are arming up for self-defense as the U.S. Border Patrol carries out street drop-offs of illegal immigrants in and around cities like San Diego.

The New York Post reported that “roughly 125,000 migrants have been released onto the streets in the San Diego area since September,” and many area residents are reacting by purchasing firearms and ammunition for themselves and their families.

Cory Gautereaux owns a gun store, Firearms Unlimited California, in northeast San Diego and he has seen business increase as more and more illegals are let loose on the streets.

Continues...

The best defense for Californians is a Uhaul.
Uhaul is probably still tapped out. I don't think you could find a one way Uhaul rental out there.

This was the situation a couple of years ago.

"Details: U-Haul did run out of trucks in California last year. “We sustained a shortage of available one-way trucks and trailers for outbound moves at times during 2020 and 2021 in California and other West Coast locations due to a substantially greater outflow vs. inflow of equipment,” said U-Haul spokesman Jeff Lockridge.

yep. i've been saying that for years as the ex-californians flooded texas. while everyone is applauding the movement they forget...the location changes, the politics remain the same.
NES mentality "but they own a gun, they must be awesome" ...

Just think of all the retards in this forum voting for stupid sh*t. Owning a gun doesn't mean much.

Indeed. The mindset of the typical leftist who flees the damage done by the people and policies they vote for is "socialism can work if we just get the right people to run it."

yeah, another one of my peeves is the massachusetts people who flee mass for new hampshire. the people from nes think everyone who makes the move is doing it for 2a considerations. in reality, the taxes paid out in massachusetts is mostly the real reason. why do they think n.h. is getting blue? and i get jumped for having that opinion. liberal democrats hate taxes also. oh well.

Yup. <1% check the Tax Me More box even though 60% approved it.

If libs hate paying taxes, why do they keep reelecting dems instead of voting for their wallets ???

Because people are too stupid to think about consequences and see the big picture.

I will use some of the stupid sh*t I have read on NES as an example:

"Schools should have a good athletic field and lockers" = more tax money.

"It is OK for a new school to cost $300M, think of how inefficient the current 20 year old building is" = more tax money.

"This town needs trash pick up, driving to the dump s*cks" = more tax money.

"I am all for freedom, but I hate seeing my neighbors rusting piece of sh*t car" = demand HOA = more tax money in the form of fees.

The list goes on.

It is death by a thousand cuts. By the time you realize it, a decade later your property taxes more than doubled and your town is packed with b*tches demanding everything they left behind. But they are too stupid to think how their old town got to the point they felt they had to leave.

If one can afford one. Costs 10X the national average for one to move out of CA.
Few if any are moving there so the normal swap that they get in other parts of the country where people are moving in just isn't there. So, Uhaul has to pay drivers to return their trucks to CA....with wage and fuel costs, that adds a hefty chunk to the rental bill.

My employer has facilities in CA. Nobody wants to take a job that requires moving there. The only reason any stays in CA is "family."
I'd rather quit than be forced to move to CA. Who knows, maybe the company does "transfer" folks to CA to get them to quit so they don't have to pay unemployment.
My son is going out there in the fall on a business trip. Be he made it clear that no amount of money would make it worth moving to CA.

My friend lives in MA but has to pay CA taxes because the company is in CA. Just watch, CA will eventually find a reason to charge you income tax due to your employer’s facilities being located there.

Many states, including MA, changed their laws after revenue dropped during COVID. NH residents lost the ability to deduct days they did not enter MA to work.
Luckily, if I moved back to NC, I could change my reporting location ti the office in NC rather than behind enemy lines in Maryland. Will move back there eventually. Depends, in part, on which kid has the first grandchild. :D

It is less expensive to just purchase the truck.

Not a joke— the California regulations on diesel trucks is making the older ones impossible to own.
My son joked about picking up a couple and taking them to a state where they were worth something.

I was screwed by MA on that one…
BTW — we are now in NC - couldn’t get out of the Northeast fast enough…
