Browning Arms Company Sued Over ‘Sticky’ Dura-Touch Firearm Coating

the older brownings with their super tough poly clear coat stuff was pretty stout and a real PITA to strip or repair.
This dura coat reminds my of plastic Dip and once your oily sweat and gun solvents get a hold of it it will turn to shit.

By any chance do you store your stock in a silicone impregnated gun sock?

No silicone sock but this gun just keeps getting worse and worse over the years very sticky. looks like I'm not the only one with the link you posted. I bought the gun in around 1996
