Boston Tea Party 2009 - Pictures from the Boston Common, Boston Harbor, Hyannis!

Just a couple pics from Old Cape Cod- the Hyannis rotary.

The crowd was great, the cops were great, and most of the traffic was appreciative. No problems at all.

I just saw the report on fox 25, they tried to make us look like idiots. the smug reporter asked all of the most vulnerable looking people (read stupid) a bunch of stupid questions.

Some fool thinking he has a clue said to me "the reason you all are doing this is because a scary black democrat is in office" and " you could never fight back against the government..they have tanks and missiles"

Those unorganized American rebels fared pretty well against the most formidable army of the world in 1776 didn't they? And those guerrillas in Afghanistan totaled the "mighty" Red Army in the 1970s, didn't they? Next time ask that priggish dolt to open a history book.

this is how it went between me and him.

Him-Two things
1) You do realize that right wing militias are domestic terrorist groups, right?
2) Have you seen the Obama Deception documentary? You'd like it

ME-1- they are not, militias are a essential part of America. our forefathers were against a standing army and said we should have local militias. We also have a right to revolution.
2- no, I would like to see it though.

Him-1- Don't you think the right to revolution went away when the federal government got tanks and cruise missiles?
2- Its free to watch on Goggle Video

ME-1-No, all of the armed citizens in the U.S. could cause mayhem with military operations. We could win for sure.
2- I will have to check that out.

HIM-1- Hate to you tell you, but not all of the armed US citizens think a little bit of socialism and a black president justifies another civil war

2-It's really cool, its by Alex Jones, I've watched all his documentaries, I think he's crazy, but crazy/interesting!

ME-The government has been over stepping its bounds since FDR was in office. I am not a right or left winger, I am a libertarian. I despise big government and government intervention.

It is getting time to hit the reset button. All of our constitutional rights are being infringed on and we are having are rights sliced away everyday. People are getting sick of things and we will see who will fire the next shot heard around the world.

Him-Here we are in 2009, and you guys are really talking about trying to overthrow the government. Where were you all in 2004 when the feds were tapping our phones, and FEMA was setting up internment camps for US citizens?

Now I know you were a crazy armed revolutionary before it was cool, but you gotta realize that most of the people fighting next to... Read More you will only be doing it because a scary black democrat is president. They were more than happy to let their drinking buddy George trample all over our freedoms.

Now I did not reply after that because it would have been futile to argue with this dolt.

Regardless, the fact that so many all across the nation rallied, that so many cities organized these events very successfully...speaks volumes.

. . . The best part was that a speaker at the podium said something that caused the crowd to cheer and then a Mass Transit ferry boat pulled in at the same time and blew it's horn in solidarity. It sounded more like an ocean liner, and that's when the crowd roared even louder. By the time I turned back around, the CNN twit was gone. . . .

Well that is one news report that will never see the light of day.

I was there.

Did not see any shoot n see dots....

Can I say one thing??? PUBLIC ADRESS SYSTEM Couldn't hear anything.

Next time I go I will bring a generator, microphone and a 100 watt amplifier.

Yeah I was there too, didn't manage to meet up with any other NESers. [sad]

The big white "Come and take it" flag with the M4 on it - was that somebody from here?

Good rally. Made me feel like maybe there is hope for America after all. Hopefully, people won't just go back to sleep now.

Am I the only one that noticed the references to Atlas shrugged? It's a long book, but the question of "who is John Galt" is a famous line from that book. In the book, all of the productive people of the world start disappearing. Pretty soon, all of the "producers" go missing and all that's left is the "takers".

Hell no, I noticed several references to Atlas Shrugged in Boston yesterday. It's a common theme in the current Tea Party resistance. I'm reading the book right now, good stuff.

Actually, ever since the unconstitutional Alien and Sedition Acts, passed into law by the SECOND president of the United States, John Adams.

It really went to shit when Abraham the Terrible killed 600,000 Americans that didn't want HIS government anymore and peacefully broke away from the union.

But what an interesting conversation! Sounds like that guy is bipolar or something.

And FWIW, I couldn't care less what color the POTUS is. I just don't want to get robbed blind. And that's what happening. Every day, people are getting robbed. And are getting really pissed about it.

DAMN! Should have called in sick to participate in this year's Tea Parties...

Thanks to everyone for posting pictures!
