Beretta 92 factory pre-ban mags?

Today I was in a shop that had new genuine factory Beretta pre-ban 92 hi-cap mags for $45ea. Is this a good deal, and is there really a way that you can tell that they are either geniune Beretta or pre-ban. Would like to have 15 rounders but more importantly would like to cover ass. Beware the AWB In MA leeches... A gun shop around here is selling prepan G22 mags for 50-bucks a pop. Down the street they're $25.....
