Ballistic coefficient

Will two bullets of equal weight with same ballistic coefficient travel identically? I'm guessing the answer is much more complicated.

Haha yes. Specifically, I'd probably look to the same manufacturer as well. For example nosler BT is much less costly than their partitions. Partitions seem suited toward elk, while BT toward smaller animals. Practicing with BT would also be much more cost effective.

I'm guessing at 300 yards is less of a concern compared to say 600 yards.
