I'm not a NH hater but I get pissed when people suggest people just uproot their whole existence and move due to gun laws. I love NH...I ski there every winter, camp there most summers, visit extended family there multiple times year round. It's still too rural for me. It's not how I want to live. I have nothing against people who do like living there. Don't read too much into what I wrote. It is the "woods" compared to Boston. I work in finance. No city in NH that I'm aware of has a job for me. I know this for a fact. I like my career. MA gun laws blow. That's not enough to make me want to move. I'm not defending MA politics, I'm merely saying there's a lot about my state that I like despite the shitty gun laws....I like our geography, early American history, the city for it's cultural things, restaurants etc. Liking Boston doesn't make me a Boston elitist. I like that Boston has a lot of big city offerings but isn't actually the size of NYC or Chicago. I like that even if it has more crime than a little town in NH it's still a pretty safe city. I'm not an elitist at all. I'm simply content, overall, with my life even if I hate the politics here. I'm not letting MA gun laws and taxes consume my life, certainly not the extent that I feel I need to uproot my whole life. Not wanting to move to NH isn't NH bashing.
I never commented on why NH is getting screwed up just that it is. It's a blue state now. I never attributed that to MA transplants. That was other people in this thread. You're probably right that it's college indoctrination.
I did misspeak about the tax burden, even with the ridiculous property taxes, it's still not as bad as MA. I can admit when I'm wrong. But I laugh a the concept of a place having the motto "live free or die" and then handcuffing people who get caught with a gram of pot. Free my ass.
"punks" are pussies who run from fights. I was responding in-kind to more or less name calling by some dickwad who suggests I'm a sellout bc I like my salary and my career, saying I'm giving up freedom and he knows my price. He can eat a fat bag of cocks. Don't get me wrong, I hate the MA political machine, taxes etc but until
You can sh*t on Boston sports for being elitist all you want. It's part of what makes sports fun. I like my teams.
I never once bashed Montana. Where'd that come from? Montana's awesome. I don't want to live there either though. I said that when NH gun laws end up onerous the person who advises everyone in MA to move out to NH or STFU should do the same and maybe move to Montana.
Harcore Obama voting democrats who get riled up when you mention more gun control should probably get checked out for multiple personality disorder or stop voting for people who are trying to take their rights away.

I'm concerned as to why you are so "Mass defensive" and NH bashing here.
You clearly don't have a clue what you are talking about if you call NH "the woods". You think Concord on south is the woods? Its a free version of MA with better people, etc.
You are soaking wet if you think its MA liberals that are screwing up NH. This has been shown over and over again on this forum via election data that the reddest voting areas also have the highest % of mass transplants. MA people generally move to NH to get away from crazy liberal politics, crime and gun laws. Stop spreading false info. Most NH moonbats, spending 4 yrs in central/northern NH myself, are bred in place or move from places like NYC. Alot of kids in my generation from NH had the "conservative hippie" type parents/upbringing and they kept the hippie but went over to the more liberal side with college, etc. Knew many an NH person who was hippie/conservative when entering college and liberal on the way out. They are bred in place, cant say that enough. When you never see the crime and disgustingness associated with liberal people, cities and policy, you more readily accept in college that its the ideal way of the world. Couple that with the relatively new wave of media which allows for more ready liberalization vs working the farm and staying conservative and you have the recipe for this. The media is a very stong manipulative tool and controlled by the left. People in the sticks that have never experienced the city life/thug life/welfare life/anything associated with liberals life are drawn to it because its glamorized in the media.
You are also very screwed up if you think NH is gonna be MA in terms of gun laws in 10 years time. You fail to see through your Mass blinders that are firmly planted on your face (which is starting to head up your a$$) that much of what MA does to us with respect to firearms derives from political POWER. The local king (police chief) can do whatever the F he wants with your permit and thus guns. The AG can intimidate people into not selling here. She has people working for her who she can pay to look for ways to screw us. They can push handgun regulations (the list) and not worry about push back from a liberal and complicit legislature. None of that exists in NH. The elected officials are not paid at all contrast to MA where they make $150K or more. There is no money in the system and no major expectation of power by many in the system. The underhanded tactics use to do alot of what is done to us will never fly in NH, they could not fly in NH. Vermont and Maine are decidedly more liberal than NH, tell me why in gods name then, that any of the mag restrictions proposed in the wake of Newtown were DOA even in ME and VT??? There is no appetite for it there and just because somebody votes blue does not mean they are a MA style liberal (Mass blinder alert again, take em off for a second). I know many a hardcore democrat in northern New England, hardcore Obama voters, you name it who flip out if you mention restricting their guns.
A recall of some democrat idiots in a Colorado county who voted for gun restrictions there was lead by DEMOCRATS. Blue in other states does not always mean what it means in MA with respect to guns. You are being a very narrow minded and overly defensive of the homeland person right now. You seem to have too much of that old Boston arrogance in you. Newsflash, I travel all over the country live in other places of the country and work everyday with people from all over the USA, nobody outside 495 buys your "I'm special because I'm from Boston" BS.
How is somebody a punk for "running out of state"? If it works for their career and lifestyle, more power to them. Why are you bashing people who move out?
I understand there are great jobs in MA, like yours, its also the reason that you can't "starve the beast" like some suggest. There are always going to be (usually liberal) people *with the right skills* rolling in to take the jobs offered in metro Boston. That said, you are too defensive of the 2nd rate city that is Boston. Its not world class, I'm a nocturnal beast and when I'm in Boston everything is sealed up by 1 or 2am. World class cities are hopping and have something to do/more than 2 places to eat 24/7. Boston sports? haha, give me a break. Boston people = elitist for no good reason. The rest of the country realizes this and you would know that if you ever left. You bash Montana and KY, Montana is out of this world awesome. You seem to just like concrete and buildings and lights, man made crap. Sorry about that, you are missing out.
